The Birth of Legends
- Alignment: Neutral

- Favored Weapon: Sickle
The owl-headed goddess of night and the eldest child of Kassen and Annura, Dannas is associated with love and birth. She represents fertility as the Ripe Princess and governs the phases of the moon. Dannas, like her uncle Surin, is a protector of children, but her half-moon and sickle symbol protects children from mortal dangers like disease and injury rather than dark gods. She also maintains the boundaries between planes of existence, and as such is associated with summoning magic. Her beauty is legendary, but the only man she ever loved was a compassionate mortal soldier named Charce. The Lava King Ruiloth overheard Charce telling a fellow soldier of the beauty of Dannas, and the dark god decided then to take her as his wife, striking Charce with a poisoned sword and dragging Dannas down into the depths of his volcano home. Charce lived long enough to warn Kassen and fell dead at his feet. His spirit rose from his body and Nathu bound it with string and put it in his pocket while he went to take his reserved place at Ruiloth’s table for the betrothal dinner of Ruiloth and Dannas. While Ruiloth and his guests were distracted with the main course, Nathu released the spirit of Charce so with the last of his will the soldier could break the silver chains holding Dannas to her throne, allowing her to escape. Dannas is worshipped by parents, farmers, and lovers, and although she is not married is invoked in the traditional marriage ceremony in Nalliana. Her priests are often farmers and are called upon to perform marriages, and prepare their spells at sunset.
